Global Yarnbomber
Who is this person? It’s Magda Sayeg, of KnittaPlease, the knitwear designer and globe-trotting yarnbomber. She was featured yesterday in an excellent interview by Chris Baranuik on the UK trend/style site, StuffHappeningNow.com. Sayeg has recently made yarnbombing her full time profession, plus she’s writing a book on this intriguing form of graffiti. In fact, Sayeg is collecting submissions for her book. Send your yarnbombing photos by December 31. Details here. While you are at that site StuffHappeningNow.com, check out the story on my friend Gail and the Humble Pile art/activist/environmental project originating here in LA. By the way, the photo (above) of Sayeg is from designtrust.org, another group of art activists, who are based in NYC.

This is so awesome. Why didn’t I think of a cool career like that?
